What time is the class?
The class starts at 7am and goes until approximately 5:30. It is immediately followed by the exam which takes 1-2 hours. There are quite a few breaks throughout the day. back to top
Do you hold classes on days other than Monday?
Since we're in the restaurant business, we know that Mondays are generally the best day for restaurateurs.back to top
Is there food served?
Lunch and an afternoon snack are included in the price of the class, along with soft drinks. Breakfast is not served, nor included.back to top
Do you have the test in other languages?
Yes, we also have the test available in Spanish and Chinese. The test is printed with the questions and answers in both languages side by side. We need 4 weeks notice to have time to order foreign language exams.back to top
Are there textbooks available in other languages?
We are not able to get textbooks in languages other than English and Spanish. back to top
How long does it take to get my results?
Your results will be mailed to the address you put on the test form approximately 2-3 weeks after the date of the exam.back to top
I need proof that I've taken the class, can I get a letter?
Upon request, we can provide a letter stating that you have taken the class and the test. However, this letter is not valid for anything. It is the Board of Health's decision as to whether or not to allow a grace period based on your attendance.back to top
Why is the class so long?
Being restaurant people, we understand the value of your time. We felt it was important to fit the class and the test into a single day, to allow you to get back to your business sooner.back to top
What type of test is it?
The test is multiple choice. You need to use a #2 pencil to color in the circles for a computer to score your test.back to top

Yes, the book price by itself is $30, and you can pay for it on the day of the class.back to top
Can I reserve my space in the class, and pay when I show up for it?
Due to the fact that the class space is limited, we require payment before class to reserve your space.back to top
How far in advance should I pay to attend?
Each class fills up at different rates. If you think you would like to attend a class, we recommend as soon as possible to ensure your space. back to top
I just want to renew my certification, and I remember the material from last time. Can I take the test only?
If you have previously taken the exam with us, you are eligible to take the test only at a discounted price. If you received your certification through a different company, we require you to attend the class before taking the exam. back to top
Can you hold a private class for my business?
Private classes are possible, and prices can even be negotiated. The minimum attendance for a private class
