SPEED DATING is the latest craze for singles to meet. Think of it, 12 SEVEN MINUTE DATES during which you can evaluate your date without the hassles of traditional dating. It is hosted at the OSCEOLA Between the Buns Restaurant at 7:00pm on specified dates. Participants will visit 12 members of the opposite sex by 10-year age brackets (see brackets below) with breaks after each 4 dates.

As you go on your dates, you mark on a card whether you'd like to see that person again. Buns Speed Dating organizers will match your card with those of others and see if there was a match, if so, we will share your information for you. We do not release personal information unless there is chemistry both ways. We're so confident in this process that we GUARANTEE IT!! If you don't have a match with someone, your next Speed Dating event is free!

How the Guarantee works...If you don't have a match with one of your dates (ie: you both say "Yes" as a "want to see again") then we will allow your attendance at the next speed dating event free. Only one freebie per person.

Held on specified dates, Speed Dating starts at 7:00. CHECK BACK OFTEN for the dates and status of upcoming events. The cutoff time for signups or cancellations is 3:00 on the Friday before any given event. If you are on the waiting list, you may be confirmed up to the evening before the event.

It costs $22 per person with $2 off if you bring a male friend and he tells us when he signs up. (That's less than $1.90 a date.) Limit one friend per event. It will last a little over 2 hours. Cocktails and food not included.

If you visit the links provided you will find great suggestions as to ways to meet a great person during the event. Additionally, we will provide a suggestion list of questions so that conversations flow smoothly, but they're your dates - ask and talk about whatever you want.

Due to the fact that other participants are signing up for a particular event based on age, we can only allow participation in the age brackets listed. You may not join events outside of your age range.  End of story...non negotiable.  It severely upsets those who actually attended for persons in that age bracket.

How To Get Involved....

You MUST sign up ahead of time by calling our coordinator's office at 574-289-DATE (disconnected). We will ask you for your name, email address, phone number, friends you will bring, and credit card number to reserve your spot. (Credit card will not be billed unless you don't show or call by the Friday before the event.) Entry fee will be collected on the night of the event. You may pre-pay on credit card or cash or check to speed up check-in. The event is limited to around 75-100 total participants max, so space is limited.

We can only allow as many guys as there are girls, so when you sign up, you will be  automatically placed on a waiting list. Once there is a sufficient number of participants from both sexes in an age group, then those on the reserved list will be confirmed and get involved, but only as many as there are of the opposite sex. The more there are, more fun it is, so bring your friends and make a night of it.

What to Wear and Bring....

Attire for the evening will be "nice". Remember, you're going on 12 dates and want to make a great impression. We will provide a card to track your matches, you just need to bring yourself, (hopefully a friend), and an open mind to trying something new.
